Structuring and writing a research paper

Regardless of the motivation for doing research, it should be written up and disseminated in ways that ensure its trustworthiness, reliability, usability, and reusability. The modules in this course will help all authors at all levels to follow best practice.

This course shows how to write papers that clearly report study methods, analyses, and results, and how to be guided by evidence-based reporting guidelines such as the CONSORT (consolidated standards of reporting trials), STROBE (strengthening the reporting of observational studies in epidemiology), and PRISMA (preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses) statements.

This course explains how to do all this transparently and avoid the pitfalls of selectively reporting methods and results.
