Developing and reporting strong research questions

It is the research question that makes a study original and important, yet it often gets little attention in research training. The modules in this course focus on how to develop research questions, examining what makes a good and a bad research question.

The second module tells you how to clearly report these questions in research papers for publication. This is an essential skill at the start of a research project, when developing a study protocol, applying for funding and ethics approval, or registering a clinical trial. Focusing on how the question fills an evidence gap allows authors to write an informative introduction to a research paper.
